Storage Conditions
Store under cover out of direct sunlight and protect from extremes of temperature. In tropical climates the product must be stored in an airconditioned environment. Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product or packaging.
Pothole should be cleaned with a stiff wire brush and all loose material including dust should be removed with a soft brush. Apply TT RS1 tack coat for enhancing adhesion.
Fill the pothole with ready-mix 30 mm above the existing surface and carry out compaction. The periphery of the patch should be compacted first. To prevent initial inwards pick up of the loose mix, continue to wet the hand rammer with water or place empty plastic lined bags on the loose mix.
The mix is recommended for patching potholes up to 75 mm (3 inches) deep. For deeper potholes, patching mix should be placed and compacted in 75 mm thick
layers.
If the pothole is deep and extends to WMM or granular base, it is recommended to apply a suitable tack coat or prime coat before placing the patching mix.
After compaction, the compacted patch should be kept slightly higher than the existing road surface (about 3 to 5mm) to allow for further compaction by traffic. If there are multiple closely spaced patches, use a smaller roller than a hand rammer. If a roller is used, the mix should be placed and spread slightly higher than the existing road surface so that the compacted surface is in alignment with the adjoining road surface after rolling.
Before opening the traffic, clean sand should be sprinkled on the patch to prevent pick up by traffic.
